Invisalign in Fort Worth, TX

Are you weary of hiding your smile due to crooked, misaligned, or gapped teeth?

If so, you may want to consider Invisalign® treatment. Regardless of your age, Invisalign® orthodontic treatments offer an exceptional teeth straightening solution for those desiring a perfect smile without wearing traditional braces. With excellent outcomes and a virtually invisible appearance, your Invisalign® clear aligners will work to deliver the smile you’ve always wanted!

How Does Invisalign® Work?

Your Invisalign® aligners are custom-made for you. The clear aligners are virtually invisible and fit snugly over your teeth. Each aligner gently shifts your teeth slightly, moving them vertically or horizontally, and even rotating them if needed. The aligners are designed to apply the right amount of force in the right place at the right time.

With your set of aligners, your teeth will gradually move into position, following a custom plan we map out here at our office. The aligners, made of a proprietary, multilayer SmartTrack® material are used for orthodontic treatment in a technique to gently shift and properly align your teeth, delivering a beautiful smile.

Why Should You Choose Invisalign® Treatment?

Unlike traditional metal braces, Invisalign® is one of the most convenient and comfortable methods to straighten teeth, with only minor lifestyle adjustments needed for this orthodontic treatment. Instead of complicated oral care with conventional braces, with invisalign®, you can just take out the aligner and clean your teeth like you ordinarily would, and you can eat pretty much anything you like!

With Invisalign®, you do not have to worry about metal brackets and wires interfering with your smile. The aligners are gentle on your teeth and gums, unlike metal braces which have sharp edges and may scrape the inside of your mouth.

The Invisalign clear aligner systems come to you with 20 years of clinical research and more than 700 patents. With your aligners, you’re on your way to the smile you want up to 50 percent faster than with traditional braces. The SmartForce® features and SmartTrack® material make Invisalign® treatment efficient for complex cases. With these innovations, we can correct your teeth more precisely!

Health Benefits of Aligned Teeth

Straight teeth have benefits extending far beyond a confident smile. According to the American Dental Association (ADA), straightening your teeth has a significant effect on your overall dental health. Teeth that are overly crowded or too widely spaced often result in swollen, red gums and periodontal disease. When your teeth are aligned, your gum fits more securely around your teeth, allowing for a healthy defense against potential periodontal problems.

If left untreated, gum disease and tooth decay can cause mouth sores, tender or bleeding gums, bad breath, and potentially tooth loss. Oral infections may result in other more severe conditions such as heart disease, stroke, diabetes, and pneumonia. Invisalign® aligners make your daily oral hygiene easier, reducing the risk of potential problems.

What Conditions Can Invisalign® Correct?

Gapped Teeth

These occur with the continued abnormal growth of the jawbone, or with the presence of missing teeth that cause surrounding teeth to shift into the extra space. Gaps between your teeth may lead to gum problems, periodontal pockets, and an increased risk of periodontal disease.

Overly Crowded Teeth

This usually happens when there is a lack of space within your jaw for all your teeth to fit. If left untreated, overcrowding of teeth can get worse over time, resulting in severely crooked teeth, which can lead to plaque accumulation, tooth decay and a higher chance of developing gum disease.

This occurs when the upper teeth bite over the lower teeth. Causes are usually hereditary or the overdevelopment of the bone that supports the teeth. Overbites may lead to gum problems or irritation, wear on the lower teeth, and painful jaw and joint problems.

An underbite can occur when your lower teeth protrude past your front teeth. Causes are usually missing upper teeth, or the overgrowth of the lower jaw, the undergrowth of the upper jaw, or both. Underbites can prevent the normal function of your front teeth or your molars, leading to tooth wear and painful jaw and joint problems.

Open Bite

Open bite is when some of your teeth are not able to make physical contact with opposing teeth. That can result from a genetically abnormal jaw structure, painful chewing, or speech impairment. It can also cause a painful condition called temporomandibular joint disorder (TMJ).

This is when the upper and lower jaws are misaligned, and results in upper teeth biting on the inside of your lower teeth. A crossbite can cause tooth wear, gum disease, and bone loss.

What Is the Procedure?

During your initial consultation, we will discuss your needs and will evaluate whether Invisalign® is right for you. We will use a scanner to make precise images of your teeth, which we will use to map out a treatment plan, including the exact movements of your teeth and how long your treatment will take. We will even show you a preview of your new smile!

You will need to wear your clear aligners for 20-22 hours each day for best results, only taking them out to eat and to clean your teeth. As you wear each set of aligners, you will notice your teeth beginning to shift into place gradually. When your treatment is complete, you will need to use a retainer to avoid your teeth moving back to their original position.
